Ivars Mekons comments the new Public Procurement Law

Ivars Mekons, an expert of international transactions and a practitioner in the field of public procurements, has positive things to say about the new Public Procurement Law adopted by the Parliament. Special recognition should be paid to the introduction of deposits which was already offered back in 2013 by his task force of high-level experts. This will secure proportionate balance between the opportunities of entrepreneurs to protect their possibly infringed rights, knowing at the same time that the question is not about a disagreement between certain entrepreneurs but instead about the process of interests of general public.
